Parent Coordination

Parent coordination helps reduce the adverse effects of separation or divorce on the family unit by working with parents to facilitate effective joint decision-making. When disagreements arise in the negotiation process, the parent coordinator provides the parents with strategies and support to assist them in resolving conflicts.

One of the most significant values of having a parenting coordinator is the ability to create and implement a parenting plan that is specifically tailored to your unique family. When creating a parenting plan, the coordinator works cohesively with parents to accommodate the needs of each family member.

When working with a parenting coordinator, decision-making authority remains in your hands. The parent coordinator's role is to help ensure that the important decisions you make will be sustainable when put into practice long-term. Our parent coordinators do this by helping parents make decisions together, even in high conflict situations, by relying on effective communication and co-parenting strategies.
