Dr. Rebecca Presley is a dedicated professional with an impressive background in psychology and educational leadership, deeply committed to trauma-informed care and women empowerment. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri, followed by a Master of Science in General Psychology and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from Pittsburg State University in Kansas. Dr. Presley further advanced her expertise with a Doctorate in Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Baker University in Kansas.
With over two decades of experience as a school psychologist, Dr. Presley has profoundly impacted the lives of children and families, addressing various age groups and their unique needs. Her passion for supporting children affected by trauma led her to educate teachers, parents, and caregivers on the critical effects of childhood trauma on learning and development. She lovingly refers to this mission as her "calling."
In addition to her work with children, Dr. Presley is dedicated to empowering women through trauma-aware techniques. Drawing from her own experiences and her desire to aid adults in their healing journeys, she trained to become a Transformational Life Coach. She holds certifications in Transformational Coaching, Evolved Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and Quantum Time Release™ from Avalon Empowerment, specializing in trauma-aware methodologies.
Dr. Presley’s expertise is further enriched by her training in Integrative Attachment Family Therapy and her certification as an art therapy practitioner. She has developed a trauma-responsive school model and offers individual and group counseling, addressing issues such as anxiety, school avoidance, grief, behavioral challenges, social skills, adolescent issues, and ADHD.
Outside her professional life, Dr. Presley is a devoted mother, grandmother, and dog-mom. She finds joy in nature through activities like gardening, hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, and beach combing. Committed to environmental causes, she volunteers for non-profit organizations focused on environmental education, preservation, and protection.
