Parker earned his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden
University and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn
with a major in Psychology. He completed his student internship for his master’s degree with
Michelle Donley, LCSW, and he continues to be under the supervision of Jennifer Lagergren,
LMHC, as he completes his registered mental health counselor internship. Parker has worked
with clients of all age groups with a variety of different challenges.

Parker works with children, teens, and adults in the following areas:
  • Grief/loss
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Self-esteem
  • Play therapy
  • Life transitions
  • Family conflict
  • Social/emotional skills

Parker’s main priority is building a strong therapeutic relationship with his clients. He believes
that the most important part of the therapeutic process is to allow all clients to be able to express
themselves authentically, feel safe in space, and most of all, having clients feel
respected/validated.

Personally, Parker enjoys spending time with family including his dogs, Jaggy and Tyson and
cats named Skylar and Rocky, going to the beach, attending/watching different sporting events
for his hometown teams in Michigan/Detroit, going on walks, and exploring different places
throughout the area. In the past, he has also worked with families and children/teens developing
healthy communication styles, discovering what it takes for healthy relationships, consider how
behaviors impact themselves and others around them, and more.
