Kim Hughes earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Florida. She has a Masters of Education Degree (M.E.d) in Counseling and Guidance (K-12) and a Specialist Degree (Ed.S) in Mental Health Counseling. Both graduate degrees earned from The University of Florida. Kim has worked as a certified Guidance Counselor for grades K-12 in Florida and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a Nationally Board Certified Counselor (NBCC). Kim is also a certified yoga instructor (RYT 200).
Kim has worked in a variety of counseling and teaching settings including agency mental health, multiple private practices, prevention and treatment centers, non-profit organizations and within a variety of school settings in Texas and Florida including The International Baccalaureate Program in Pinellas County. Kim is a Florida Supreme Court Mediator, a Florida Qualified Parenting Coordinator and a Collaborative Family Law Mental Health Facilitator. Kim is also a Guardian Ad Litem and a Florida Qualified Supervisor for Mental Health Counseling Registered Interns.

Kim is a Gottman Certified Couples Therapist and a Certified Imago Couples Counselor. Kim also offers Couple Intensive Counseling which is an accelerated method of counseling that is an alternative to traditional 1 hour, weekly counseling. Kim fosters a "conscious marriage" approach to help her clients maximize psychological and spiritual growth. She believes that life's challenges can provide opportunities for personal growth and increased understanding. Kim’s work includes collaboration with clients to explore concerns, develop new insight and create sustainable tools for improved living and well being. Kim considers it an honor to see her clients emerge from life transition stronger, wiser, more purposeful and with greater peace.
