Karen earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Christian Counseling from Liberty University. She is also a Certified Life Coach from Go and Tell Gals, a Christian Coaching Certification, and is currently working toward a Life Coach Certification through IAP Career College.
Karen worked in Children, Youth, and College Ministries at a local church for seven years and is passionate about helping kids, teens, and young adults build self-confidence and an understanding of their identity in Jesus Christ. She cares deeply about helping others build self-compassion and a true sense of understanding of the love God has for them. Karen wants to take a holistic approach with her coaching clients to ensure they are growing mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, as they are all deeply connected.
She has experience working with kids, teens, and young adults in the following areas from a Christian perspective:
- Self-Esteem
- Stress and Worry
- Friendship Skills
- Goal Setting
- Conflict Resolution
- Emotional Regulation
- Building healthier habits
- Supporting kids, teens, and young adults through Life Transitions
- Helping parents find more balance in their lives
- Creating stronger connections between parents and their kids
As a mom of two boys, she is also excited to partner with parents in helping their kids build healthier habits, reach their biggest goals, and develop a strong identity in who they were created to be so they can reach their full potential. She knows that can only happen through a true partnership with parents, as they are the first influence their children will have.
Karen is a St. Pete native who loves spending time with her husband and boys outside on the beach or at a local park on the playground. She enjoys reading, walking, and playing board games. You’ll likely catch her designing something on her computer or coloring with her oldest.
