Jennifer Lagergren, M.S.

As an educational consultant, executive functioning coach, psychometrist, and Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, Jennifer performs many vital duties at The Costello Center. Her ten years in mental health have given her experience with academic consulting and coaching, behavioral interventions, counseling, and a wide variety of assessments.

As an Educational Consultant, Jennifer has over eight years of working with students, families, and schools in developing individualized academic and behavioral accommodation plans to facilitate a collaborative effort of working toward each student's academic success.

As an Executive Functioning Coach, Jennifer focuses on providing teens and young adults with the essential tools and skills to become a successful student. She believes the most important role of the coach is to challenge, inspire, and motivate each student to build and achieve their goals, providing them a sense of accomplishment.

As a Psychometrist, Jennifer has over seven years of experience in administering psychological assessments. Jennifer emphasizes the accuracy and validity of assessments, scoring them with appropriate norms, and collecting pertinent demographic information from clients and their families. Jennifer works under the supervision of Dr. Diohn Brancaleoni, Ph.D. who is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Florida.

As a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, Jennifer has over 2000 hours of direct contact with clients, providing a safe and supportive environment in which clients can explore their emotions and behaviors. She applies a goal-oriented approach to guide her clients in changing patterns of thinking and behavior that guide their maladaptive thoughts and behaviors.

Jennifer is a Certified Sport Psychology Coach and an associate member of the American Psychological Association. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University and a Master of Science (MS) in Counseling with specializations in applied behavior analysis, substance abuse, and mental health counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She is currently training to become a Certified Specialist of Psychometry.
