Carolyn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, self-injurious behavior, trauma, parent-child relationships, divorce/separation issues, and grief counseling. She has over 25 years of experience with children, adolescents, college students, women, men and families.
Carolyn was also a Certified Guidance Counselor for the state of Florida, grades K-12, with over 18 years of experience in both the public and private school sectors. She is a member of the Crisis Team, where she utilizes crisis counseling techniques in dealing with trauma, sudden deaths, and suicides. Carolyn is also a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem for the dependency court system of Pinellas County.
In addition to her counseling services, Carolyn offers a Hope and Healing: Life after Separation/Divorce Transition support group for women several times throughout the year. This support group assists women who are going through the separation/divorce process, with the focus on rebuilding their lives after the loss of a relationship. The Hope and Healing support group provides women with the proper skill sets to cope with the complex emotions that they may be experiencing. Topics include:
Carolyn received her Master's degree in Guidance & Counselor Education from the University of South Florida. She is a member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of American, the American Psychological Association, and the American Association of Integrative Medicine.
